Tomorrow is the big day...Halloween that is! And we're excited and prepared for all of the Shepherdstown trick-or-treaters to be out and about in costume! Trick-or-Treat is currently still on despite the awful weather we've been experiencing here in the Eastern Panhandle the past few days due to Hurricane Sandy. But it looks like the weather should be cooperating for the festivities tomorrow evening. On Saturday, September 29th from 4-9pm PLUM is hosting a trunk show featuring the work of bead artist Susan Lico. Susan’s creations are truly works of wearable art, unique and one of a kind. Susan is a local artist that specializes in seed bead weaving and bead embroidery with 12 years of experience in her craft. She creates beautiful jewelry pieces including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, cuffs, pendants and more using the finest seed beads, crystals, pearls, glass beads, metals, gemstones and vintage finds. Susan works alongside masters in her craft to perfect her technique and stay on the cutting edge of many bead jewelry styles. Susan continues to travel the U.S. to study with renowned teachers in her field. Come out to PLUM this Saturday to meet Susan and see the wonderful pieces she has for sale. In addition to the many items she’ll be selling she will also be offering select pieces at discounted rates as well as raffling off a one of a kind piece that evening. We hope to see you there!

Hey everyone! My name is Kasey Franklin and I just recently graduated from Hedgesville High School. I am currently attending Shepherd University and majoring in elementary education. The start of the year has been hectic, but things are finally starting to fall into place and I cannot express how excited I am to figure out Shepherdstown and all it has to offer. Just recently, Cari has given me the opportunity to become a new addition to the PLUM family! And I am very happy to now call myself a PLUM girl! All of the girls seem like a joy to work with, and from what I have heard we have the best customers around.
